Between Heaven and Earth stands one boy, and one sword, to protect us all!

Yonosuke Hikura appears to be an ordinary high school student. Yet he has inherited the important role, passed down through generations of his family, of protecting the harmony between Heaven and Earth. With the help of the magical sword Chitentai, and Tsukinojo Inbe, a Protector sent to him by the high Priests of the Earth, he courageously battles the demons, sending them back to the Earth World, from which they have escaped.

Unbeknownst to Yonosuke, Tsukinojo's brother, Jukinojo and his faithful aide, Arare, are plotting to take Chintentai for themselves, along with the role of Protector, which they feel rightfully belongs to Yukinojo. With their new found power, they plan to tear down the gateway between Heaven and Earth, disrupting the delicate balance of harmony and causing chaos in both worlds.
